    The OLP mechanism is not active on Router  PIUs because of the high packet rate that is possible to handle without overload. With this packet rate, there is no point in discarding packets once they have reached the processor. The packets are instead sent directly to the outgoing interface, that is the backplane for inbound traffic or the front interface for outbound traffic.

只知道大概意思是，路由板卡上并不执行OLP机制，而是....直接从outgoing interface送出去...

简单翻译就是：

OLP机制不在Router PIU上实现，因为Router PIU可以在不需要OLP的情况下满足高速率转发。

因为Router PIU上没有一个点是OLP情况下丢弃报文的，取而代之的是直接交给出接口，也就是如果是入流量（上行），则交给背板。如果是出流量（下行），则交给前面的物理端口。
