additional guti有什么用？

主要是从2,3G回到4G的时候会携带，具体在3GPP里面有一个转换的关系。

在实际网络中，从2/3G切换到4G的Attach流程中，可以看见AttachRequest消息会携带GUTI  Type为MAP  GUTI，指示是从2/3G切换过来的用户，此时也会携带两个标识(old guti和additional guti),old guti是由PTMSI和RAI映射而成，而addtional gui呢？他是怎么得到的呢？是该用户在上一次4G网络时分配的么？还有就是他在attach 流程里起个什么作用呢？

用来说明GUTI是否是映射过来的吧。

      The additional GUTI in the Attach Request message allows the new MME to find anyalready existing UE context stored in the new MME when the old GUTI indicates aGUTI mapped from a P-TMSI and RAI.

在附着请求消息中：

If the UE holds avalid GUTI and the old GUTI indicates a GUTI mapped from a P-TMSI and RAI, thenthe UE indicates the GUTI as additional GUTI.

还有一句：

The new MME verifies whether it holds subscriptiondata for the UE identified by the GUTI, the additional GUTI or by the IMSIreceived with the context data from the old CN node.

也就是新MME根据GUTI、add GUTI或IMSI来判断，向哪个old 核心网节点（MME还是SGSN）去要UE的上下文。

也就是新MME根据GUTI、add GUTI或IMSI来判断，向哪个old 核心网节点（MME还是SGSN）去要UE的上下文”
这句话很有道理。说明了这里的add GUTI的作用，
这里我截了两张图，该用户先在4G网络下发生了TAU流程，回落到2/3G网络，然后再回到4G网络发生Attach流程。
可以看到实际上addtional  guti是和TAU里面的guti是一样的，所以，我就猜测这个addtional guti实际上就是该用户上一次在MME活动时携带的guti，到该用户从2/3G网络回到4G网络时还没有失效，MME根据上一次有效的guti就可以找到上次所在的MME，去索取相关的UE上下文。

add guti这个东东在普通的附着流程中没有作用。主要是用在ISR（idle mode signaling
reduction：空闲模式信令缩减）场景下的。就是为了防止用户频发在2/3G和4G边界穿越带来大量的TAU/RAU更新所所的一个优化措施。主要作用是：

“The additional GUTI in the Attach Request message allows the new MME to find any already existing UE context stored in the new MME when the old GUTI
indicates a value mapped from a P-TMSI and RAI.”

从《3GPP系统架构演进原理与设计》一书介绍ISR章节中这样写道：“UE从E-UTRAN接入，在TAU请求中包含的Old GUTI为P-TMSI和RAI映射得到，可从正确的SGSN获得UE上下文；而附加GUTI为以前SGSN/MME结合节点曾经分配给UE的GUTI，用于确定结合节点的MME部分所保存的UE上下文可被正确找到并替换为最新的UE上下文内容。”
